DDOE will participate in a design charrette to create a showcase energy-efficient green building in Washington, DC. A charette is an intensive, highly unifying and multi-disciplinary roundtable workshop. The DDOE will work closely with the building's operator, architect and builder/developer to integrate innovative technologies, like next generation lighting and distributed energy generation with waste heat utilization. DDOE will work to facilitate the charrette combining innovative resources synergistically to maximize demand reduction performance, energy efficiency, disaster responsiveness and occupant productivity.
