Green Summer Job Program is now hiring supervisors

The District Department of the Environment (DDOE), the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), the Department of Employment Services (DOES) and the Mayor's Green Team are pleased to announce Green Summer, a youth jobs corps designed to introduce students to environmental issues and career paths. Green Summer will place teams of students within District neighborhoods in order to complete clean-ups, assess environmental conditions and resources and reach out to residents about environmental programs and services. In addition, youth participants will receive academic, life skills and environmental training. Green Summer student participants are being recruited through DOES' Summer Passport to Work youth employment program.

Green Summer, via the University of the District of Columbia, is now seeking motivated and enthusiastic Team Leaders and Program Managers in order to supervise, train and oversee the youth job corps. The official announcement, which includes qualification requirements, and application appear below. Applications are being accepted now!
