DDOE Hosts Second Energy Star Appliance Rebate Promotion at DC Home Depot

The District Department of the Environment (DDOE) is pleased that our agreement with Home Depot to host Energy Star appliance rebate promotions at its DC location has paved the way for a second in-store rebate event! DC residents are invited to join us at the DC Home Depot, 901 Rhode Island Avenue on Saturday, April 14, 2007 between 10 am and 4 pm to take advantage of on-the-spot appliance rebates.

DDOE is offering $150 instant rebates on Energy Star clothes washers, $100 rebates on Energy Star refrigerators and $50 rebates on Energy Star window air conditioning units. Any retailer receipt for these products dated on or after April 13, 2006 qualifies DC residents to take advantage of DDOE's in-store rebates at the DC Home Depot on Saturday. Residents should come prepared to present a valid sales receipt along with a DC driver's license or non-driver identification card. Rebates are limited to 1 refrigerator, 1 washing machine, and 2 window air conditioners per household.

Home Depot is also doing its part to help make DC energy efficient by giving away FREE compact fluorescent light bulbs to rebate recipients.

Please join us Saturday for rebates, fun, prizes and a special local celebrity appearance.
